Alan Ameel Hydroplane Artist |
Alan was born in St. Clair, Michigan. In 1955 the first St. Clair International Trophy Race was held on the St. Clair River. The thundering engines of Such Crust III, Gale V, Thunderbolt, and many others... roared throughout the small river town. That roar made a lasting impression that inspired him to paint hydroplanes.
Since Graduating from the Center of Creative Studies in 1977, and with the encouragement and support of his family and friends, Alan pursued a career as an artist. His training gave him the confidence and skill to create the highly detailed, digital renderings he does today.
One of Alan's earliest works Alan's first painting, done for Chip Hanauer in 1981
